We use something which the techies call “crowd sourcing”. The t-shirts on sale at CaptainKYSO are original and exclusive designs licenced from artists and t shirt designers from all over the world (on last count our designers came from 23 different countries).Our idea is to offer buyers t shirts which reflect a variety of ideas, thoughts, cultures and styles.

Each of our t-shirt descriptions includes information about the artist, including links to their work. If you like what you see, you can even check out what else they’re currently up to and their previous and other selling designs on their individual pages.

We do it all. CaptainKYSO licenses the design, manufactures them and then sells them. This ensures that we bring you fresh and innovative t-shirts everyday that are of the highest quality. Plus it sort of caters to the control freak in us. We like being involved in every stage of our product so that it is exactly the way we want it to be and don’t end up with disappointing inventory that will end up in the trash can.

All CaptainKYSO t-shirts are made of 100% cotton and are manufactured completely by us from buying the cotton yarn, to knitting, dyeing, printing and stitching the t shirts. This gives us control over both the quality and costs.

We print our t shirts through a process called screen printing. We have the capacity to offer the most complicated screen printing solutions of up to 6 colours with processes such as discharge printing, speciality inks, simulated processes and digital screen printing.

All our printing is done on technologically advanced automatic machines using Japanese and Swiss silk screen meshes thus giving our prints superior hand feel, opacity and sharpness(The hi-tech gizmo ads inspired us here).

We pay a minimum guaranteed amount at the time of licensing the print. The rest depends on sales, as we have a revenue sharing model of $1 for t shirt sold on day one and $ 2 day two onwards.All artists get to see on a near live basis through an artist login mechanism, the number of t-shirts that have been sold on the website. The minimum guaranteed amount gets paid at the time of licensing the design from you. The remaining amount is paid within 15 days after your design has gotten off the site after being sold here.

You own the copyright to your designs. We only license your design for exclusive use for the limited period of time that it is being sold on our site.

We ve planned a great contest section where artists will be able to submit their designs and our community will decide which designs get printed. Winners in the contest will get lots of money and other prizes apart from the recognition of the community. The contest section will be launched very very soon. So do check it out in the next few days and participate in designing and voting on the designs.

We currently offer t shirts for Men, Women and Teens. We offer five size options for Men, four for Women and four for Teens. The Teens sizes are for the age group of 10 – 18 years.

Our research suggests that that people in all far flung reaches of the world need nice t shirts. So why not give them one? We ship all across the world.

We ship the orders out of India where the t shirts are manufactured. Deliveries in India are completed within 5 working days of placing the order. International deliveries take between 2 – 4 weeks depending on the destination. Please contact us if you do not receive your shipments within this period.

Welcome to the simplest shopping cart ever. After you’ve clicked on the “I Want One” button, just choose how many t shirts you want (there is a maximum of 3 per order) and select the sizes that you want each one in. And you‘re ready to go.

If you want to buy a different design, follow the same procedure again as a separate order. Since all prices are inclusive of shipping and taxes you don’t have to worry about any additions in costs to you for placing multiple orders.

Yes, the price that you see next to each t shirt includes shipping and taxes. There are no additional charges.

Cash on Delivery (COD) is only available in India and will set you back by an extra Rs 50.

If we do end up sending you a t shirt that is defective or of the wrong size or in the rare occasion that our brains weren’t working and we sent you the wrong t-shirt, contact us and we ll give you a full refund or exchange as per your wishes.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a return policy on change of heart. If you just realized that you don’t look good in a particular colour (cos everyone looks good in black!!), or you decided not to check the sizing chart before you placed your order;check out the “ETC” tab in the community and maybe you’ll find someone who might just be willing to buy it from you. If not, there’s always the option of dumping it on someone as a birthday gift. CaptainKYSO t shirts make for great gifts.

You mean from the Archives? Not immediately, but if a lot of people ask for a particular t shirt to be sold again, who are we to say no? We ll try to reprint it and bring it back again and inform you when it’s for sale. For that, just click on the “Bring It Back” button in the archives and put in the size you want, along with your e mail address.

Yes we do. We've collaborated with the great guys at Mineral (http://www.theminerallife.com) to sell our t shirts offline as well. Our t shirts are currently available at their store in Bandra, Mumbai. We soon plan to expand our presence in other Mineral stores too.
