Battery Cat

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away, Danger Mouse, the braveheart who was hero to millions, has turned into an overweight despot. After vanquishing his enemies like the toad Baron Silas Greenback and Dr Augustus Crumhorn, DM grew drunk with power and has now turned into the very kind of villain he was fighting in the first place. The cities he rules over have been ravaged by bubonic plague, and rodents rule the roost with a corrupt hand.

And yet it is times like these, that a hero will emerge from the masses…

Cats have found it particularly hard since the rule of [...]

[...] Danger Mouse took over. The empire has treated all feline forms of life like varmint, and it was the same with Pinkle Purr. He was named by a family of rodents, who thought that Pinkle would die of humiliation, given his ridiculous name.When that did not happen, they starved him, thinking that this would work, but Pinkle seemed to be made of something else. They finally cast him out, and Pinkle, weary and famished, was forced to roam the streets until he came along a curious object.

They say that curiosity kills a cat, but in Pinkle’s case, it was quite the opposite. The jolt he received from touching the alien object, gave him vim and vigour, and strength that he had never known. He visited the ageing tomcat Youda KittyCat to ask what this all meant, and the wise cat said that it was now Pinkle’s responsibility to deliver them from the fearful reign of Danger Mouse. But a name like Pinkle Purr would never do.

And thus was born, the Battery Cat…
